We will sketch the inspiring exhibit at the HAL Aerospace Museum on Old Airport Road This week, we encourage all to invite parents to get their kids to join the sketchmeet.. it will be wonderful to have the kids enjoy documenting their visit to the Museum with some sketches and journaling
After all the buildings and city streets we sketched around, Russell Market with its chaos and colour deserved a re-visit. Nothing can prepare you for buzz that surrounds Russell Market – one of the oldest and most busiest parts of the city, it is a challenge and a delight to a sketcher to get an impression of this area in their sketchbooks.
We gathered on Sunday Morning at the St. Mary’s Basilica and were immediately faced with the the conundrum – Whats the best scene to sketch , is the Church and the worshippers thronging in? or the vendors and stalls on the roads? or the old store fronts and the autos that have lined up across – it was not easy making our choice, but luckily the area is so vast and so diverse, we all could get in a bit of everything.
Here are the sketches

We will keep revisiting Russell Market, seems like every alley deserves to be sketched – We don’t seem to have done with this place and its enchanting colour just as yet
As a sketcher and resident of this city, you can never just look at the Lalbagh Glass house and not want to have it sketched in your sketchbooks – The Glass house is one of the most iconic aspects of Lalbagh, with its flower shows
We gathered at Lalbagh on a sunny bright Sunday Morning, perfect weather conditions for sketching – it was a great balance of nature and tourists , subjects that make interesting sketches. We had quite a few new comers at this outing – its always fun to have more people join us, to learn from them and to experience the joy of outdoor sketching together
